Came out of work and everyone was wearing their sunglasses…. Road tested my new ones when I got home to make me feel better.
Double denim…?
I havent even owned a pair of blue denim jeans for about 3 years- so I amazed at how much I currently love it. I guess working in women’s fashion in a department store that was promoting our extensive denim collection and how to make sure it fits correctly has rubbed off on me.
Now- the thing is the stigma attached to wearing both denim jeans and a denim shirt at the same time…! But screw it- lets play !
I bought the Ralph Lauren shirt recently at TK Maax- for the princely sum of £35 (reduced from £110 :-0 ) and the jeans are mens Pepe Jeans massively cut down and turned up.
I think the secret to this look is using a shirt under a shirt and breaking it up with coloured accessories. For this experiment I used a spotty shirt and a Fred Perry v-neck sweater. The brown leather accessories- vintage skinny tie and belt really help to break it up.
So the verdict is-I’m totally going for it this Spring!
